We will!
Another great day in town. Ida, she owns the laundromat, also owns just about the whole town. She is quite the entrepreneur! She has a grocery store, does haircuts, showers - 10 mins for $4, bakery business...she is no dummy!
There are about 200 people that live on this island, max! We thought we were going to go to a New Years Eve party that was going to be jamming with locals and cruisers at Scorpios. NOT! Only person there was Willie, he said all the locals go to Nassau for New Years, they never stick around here! Oh well, makes for a great non-hangover on New Years Day!
We walked town for a bit. While walking we ran into this couple from Toronto and they were telling us how they "lost" their dinghy a couple of nights ago. So, they filled out a police report and their insurance company did pay for it, but the problem was they still couldn't get around. The new dinghy is going to Georgetown so they won't have it for a while. The town did allow them to tie up to a pier so they could still get around. That was nice of them.
Tim and Michelle stopped by today. We are going to travel with them for a bit so we will be leaving tomorrow for Little Farmers Cay. Another very small island but it does have a bar right on the beach so all is good! :-) AND it has a BTC tower!
