Happy Birthday Jon!!!
What a difference a day makes!
Look how calm the water is....
We are going into George Town...
Lookin' for the dinghy entrance....
Can you see it next to the large building to the left?...
There it is!

I bought 3-$10 phone cards to use...you can only use them on
phone booths (they are 25 cents a minute)....every where we have
stopped none of the phones have been operational....this one really doesn't work!
This phone is outside of the BTC Office here in George Town so
I went inside and asked if they could tell me where there was a working
phone booth...they just kind of smiled and said no....we both
had a good laugh...but I'm still stuck with $30 worth of cards!
Couple of rays!
Us leaving....hoping no one is going to try and come in while we are
going out!
Check out all of the windows on this cat!
There's Storymaker!
For Happy Hour we decided to do a little dinghying around
This is another anchorage spot...it is Hole 1...they have a lot
of protection from the winds...
This is how they do Happy Hour around here!
Our sunset
Today we decided we needed to do some exploring so we went into George Town.
The towns and people appear to be poor but the woman dress top notch, and the businesses sell top notch products. Of course prices are a little too high for my pocketbook but it's fun just walking around and seeing what is available. Beautiful clothes, local artist work, straw weaving, etc....
We decided to have lunch in town...I thought I was going to barf when Bob opened his basket. He ordered Snapper on the grill and thought it came with french fries....he opened his basket and there was a fish laying there with his head and his eyes were open looking at me....Yuck!....no French fries, rice instead, and really spicy tomato's (which Bob hates)...I'm still trying to get past the fish head! Then the flies start swarming us....luckily I ordered chicken fingers with papaya sauce and a salad so he was able to eat some of mine.
After we finished eating the woman that served us came over to see how the food was. Of course we were polite and said it was delicious...which it was as far as I'm concerned once I got past the fish head....and we started talking about the weather the night before. She said even through hurricane winds they had never had a wind storm come in like that with such high speed...she said she didn't think her palm trees were going to make it...another guy was talking also and said he had clocked the winds at 99 mph...yikes!
