The Darby Islands

Saturday, January 2, 2016
This is one of the cuts we can take from the inside out to the
Bahamas Sound (where all the fish are Derek!)
 Scenic picture(s)

Yikes!  I got me a huge one!  It took all my line out while I was
trying to reel it in the line snapped...the fish won....and he got one of my better lures!
Jim and Michelle caught a barracuda...they weren't so lucky....
he didn't get away! :-)
We are at Musha Cay now...David Copperfield owns it....
is this David??
 Musha Cay picture(s)

 Rudder Cay
This is where they fly people in and out for Musha Cay

 Check out this sand bar!
That is nothing but sand and then it drops off to about 22'!
 Simply beautiful!
This plane is actually on a runway...you really just can't tell!
Looks like a good place to go cave diving!
 Other side of cave
 Coming into the Darbys

 Yep, that's right....our anchorage....
The sailboat to the right is sitting in a little sliver of 7'
We were in about 4'...Ask me if my Captain was nervous!?
Actually he handled it quite well!
This house is just south of where we dropped anchor
 Off to Musha Cay
Going to try and find the piano David Copperfield dropped
in the water!
Michelle is looking for the piano
 She found it!
 Isn't it a beauty!
It's about a mile or so from Musha Cay
in about 12 - 15' of water

All three of them have jobs to do!
Michelle is now looking for Conch and Lobster
Tim is navigation man
Gizmo is the lookout person!
 Back at our anchorage spot
 The other boat
See the birdie....she whistles a lot!
Decided to do some more dinghyin'
 Another private island
  Perfect beach for a party!
The water is so shallow Bob had me get in and pull the dinghy
to deeper water !
 He gave me a break!
Yep, anchor in nice and tight....
You can barely see it!
Bob was standing outside as the sun was going down and thought
to himself "it sure would be nice if a shark would come through about now....
and wala! there he appeared!
Our sunset

We left Little Farmers Cay around 10 this morning and a couple of hours later we were in The Darbys.  Beautiful ride today.  There was no wind today so there was no sailing today.  This is the first day it hasn't been that windy; what a treat!

We did a lot of exploring today.  It was a lot of fun....especially when we found the piano!

Never did find any lobster or conch...another day....
