Good morning from Crescent River!
Not a lot of bright sun, but I know it's out there!
Gary, Dream Catcher, hates Georgia!
He hates all the winding rivers and going north, then
south....east and west hee hee...
Stalker!
See the dolphin fin?
Dolphin are in abundance today!
Bob working on our dinghy motor
Dream Catcher is getting ready to get waked pretty bad!
Fishing boat
This fishing boat is about a mile away in another river
Look at all the birds flying around it!
Our beautiful sunset tonight
(or as Bob and I were saying....do you see the flying saucer!?)
Today was a little different for me. Normally I do stuff inside the boat and Bob does most of the driving....well since I did most of the driving today I can understand why Bob asks for breaks as often as he does, and why he always wants to nap at the end of a day. So, I guess in the future I will drive more often. I also figured out why Gary, as a loner, doesn't like driving through GA. With all the winding turns it is hard to leave the helm for any length of time. That means hard to get potty breaks and/or something to eat. It's got to be very difficult traveling like this by yourself all the time.
I did have a great day driving though. I took us through "Hell's Gate" which is a very tight area and you can't go through it on low tide. Everyone was talking about it on the radio wanting to know the status of it whenever someone would come to it. Gary was leading and Bob was so busy with the dinghy motor he didn't realize I was even doing it. He planned on relieving me to do it himself. I decided I was going to do it and didn't tell him when it was time :-) It was funny, when he looked up he said "Boy this looks like Hell's Gate, then he was...wait a minute, this is Hell's Gate! Then all of a sudden he was spurting orders out to me and I just looked at him and told him I had it under control!
Today was definitely a learning experience and I'm glad I went through it! Always learning!
