8 miles N of St. Augustine, FL 032416

You see the white tape around the edges of the white and brown walls....
The second thing I saw when I walked on this boat when we were looking for boats was that! I told myself the white tape was coming down as soon as I owned her....NOT....but today, Bob told me
I could take it down.  You see our Chart Plotter outside keeps turning itself off and on and we
have to keep Factory Resetting it. The white tape is you see is
covering the white wire which is connected to the GPS we have inside the boat (we are going
to move it outside as soon as the one outside doesn't work anymore) I was so excited
I tore the tape down. Then he tells me he's not moving it outside until the other one
is dead....so now I have a white wire hanging...UGH!

Yesterday our bridle (a rope that attaches to the anchor chain to keep the boat
straight) broke!  Bob had to redo the whole thing before we could drop anchor...
never ending bliss!
A man and his dog :-)
The next few pictures are just scenic pictures going north

There was a sign just before this building that said
"No massaging manatees...a hefty fine will be issued!"

 Somebody "started" building a sailboat....
But at least they "stopped" before it was put in the water to sink
due to dereliction...
 You see what I mean!
Trimaran beached!

A Timeless Vigil

Coastal Florida was a major field of conflict as European nations fought for control in the New World. As part of this struggle, Fort Matanzas guarded St. Augustine’s southern river approach. The colonial wars are over, but the monument is still protecting—not just the historic fort, but also the wild barrier island and the plants and animals who survive there amidst a sea of modern development.
No unmanned air crafts are allowed in the National Monument Park....AKA....DRONES! There is a special alert associated with the website...

 I just love these birds!
I'm sure he does tooooo!
 St. Augustine
 Pirate Ship
 Green buoy hmmmmmm....
Once we hit St. Augustine the weather turned on us
These people on the white boat were getting soaked by the
waves coming over the top of their boat and the little ones
in the tube still want to play!
This plane was doing all kinds of maneuvers today...
 It gets better...
Havin' fun now...he even did a Tom Cruise stunt
in Top Gun and flew the plane upside down but I wasn't
quick enough for the picture!
Hmmmm.....you see the strangest things! :-)

Today was a great day on the water until we hit St. Augustine.  We were on a waiting list for a ball but one didn't become available.  The weather, out of nowhere, turned on us and boy did it get rough!  We ended up going another 8 miles before we could drop anchor.  I was a little leery of the anchorage area, thinking we were going to be rockin' & rollin' all night, but it actually turned out to be a good place.  It's a good thing because we had one hallaciouos storm roll through here around midnight leaving us with lot's of rain, lightening and thunder!
