Lake Worth 030716 - 031116

George J. Kraus
Rest In Peace Dad...I will miss you...
I love you...
 "Yoda"
And, yes, the kids come plowing through the
anchorage area all the time!  Let's rock n' roll!
Bob is disassembling the head now....
 Uh-oh, doesn't look good......
Lot's of carbon soot !!

The last few days have been uneventful.  Just a lot of emailing back and forth to the mechanic and Ed running Bob around trying to get things done for the head gasket; at least it was finally determined that was the problem.

Bob dropped the top part of the head off yesterday to make sure it wasn't warped.  We don't know if it is or not, only that it needs to be shaved anyway, due to an impression of something digging into it.  I'm not sure what that something is.  We asked if he could give us a turn around time frame on the head and he said no.  So there you be.  We may sit for a few days, to a few weeks, but not more....we have already figured out how to make it home on one engine if need be.  Won't be easy, won't be fun, but we will be home!

Our mechanic mailed us the parts we needed to put the head back together; we should  be getting them by next Wednesday.

Oh, and by the way, we did get our second battery is it does help a lot more :-)
