Look how calm the water is this morning....
This old steel boat is still sitting here on about 200' of chain....
Last year when Bob and Paul came through here they dropped anchor
just on the other side of it....and it ended up swinging to the other
side of the waterway....
and babies!!!!
We love traveling through this area (Wacamaw River)
These little guys are taking advantage of the sun and warmth today!
scenic houses along the way
Don't forget about the goose!
Flamingo's !! You never know...they could be ready to fly away!
Flying saucer!
Uh-oh here comes the rock pile!
High tide on the rock pile!
Look how brown and crass the water looks!
scenic
Just barely hanging on by their roots!
I got an email from Mena telling me her daughter, Jess, was in town
for a few days....this is what they did on one of the days she was here! How exciting!
They got to watch the weighing and measuring of the two resident turtles.
Then Jess and Ed rode bikes up to Juno Beach this morning
to watch a turtle release on the beach. I would have loved to have
seen this!
Boy what a long day this was. 74 miles! But we made it to the state line of the Carolina's! Yahoo!
It looks like today is the last real nice day we are going to have for a while. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 58 with 15 mph winds. That will be fun on the Cape Fear River! We may hold off and do it tomorrow if it's too bad out there.
