North side of Pungo River

Saturday, October 17, 2015

This is our morning sunrise
 Just can't get any better!
 Abermarle Sound
 MM (mile marker) 100
Only 853 miles to Miami where we
plan to cross over to the Bahamas!
 Alligator Pungo Canal
Turtle counting again!
He only saw 4 of them!
 Pungo Canal
 Tannin water
It's from the breakdown of leaves and shrubbery
in the water
It's also what creates a "smiley face" on the front of your boat!
Tug boat asked us to standby until he got through
Once we went through we understood....not a lot of room
there!
 Our sun is setting
Another beautiful day on the water!

Today Bob and I were tired and ready to have a down day.  So, we spent the whole day taking turns driving.  When I drove he slept, when he drove I slept.  That was pretty much our day!

It was a beautiful day for traveling.  We had our sails up while we crossed the Abermarle Sound but then they came down.  It's too narrow in the rivers and canals.

We don't have any phone service or texting/internet service with Sprint....however, my Verizon internet card works.  Thankfully I have that!
