This is Zippy our forward stateroom
Bob needed a gasket so he had to tear the whole
bedroom apart to get it...That is a huge hole under our
bed where we keep a lot of extra engine parts
This is our aft stateroom named Nauti Dreams
This is where we store all our food when we are traveling
Unfortunately, we have a leak above the ceiling somewhere
and not sure where it is coming from....so I/we had to put
Zippy back together and move everything from Nauti Dreams
to Zippy so we could find the leak....
We had to take the ceiling out and in order to do that we
had to take the strip around the hatch out....that is what
Bob is doing now....
This is what it looks like without a ceiling....
That is not dirt you are seeing - it was some sort of foam that was
sprayed on the vinyl before it was put up....Bob still cleaning
up the hatch ....
We need to work on our speakers so this is pretty convenient!
The foam was falling apart so we decided to clean it all off...
As you can see, we had to do both sides of the stateroom....
Our escape hatch....getting some fresh air in there!

together without messing it up!
We found the culprit(s)
We thought the leak would be coming from the hatch but it wasn't!
It was actually coming from the 4 screws you see on the stainless steel
post and the caulking around the piece next to the post. As soon as it
stops raining we will fix it and put everything back together!
Hopefully tomorrow or the next day....
Well you saw what we were up to today....this wasn't even on our list of things to do! But it quickly made it to the top with all the rain we've been having. We had a pretty good system going with buckets and towels but finally gave in!
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings us!
