The water was a little rough coming over. Of course the weather changed on us mid-morning; we ended up having 4 foot seas and at one point 7 foot seas while coming through the Gulf Stream.  Most of the day consisted of sustained 15 knot winds, gusting to 20. We arrived in Bimini around 2 p.m.  Bob did water and fuel runs while I ran around for a phone card(s).  They don’t sell internet cards here in Bimini.  Everyone here uses their cell phones as their hot spot.  I had my cell phone turned off before I left, bad move.  I ended up purchasing three $10 phone card which cost us 25 cents a minute on a regular phone and I put $20 on our Bahamas cell phone which will cost us 88 cents a minute from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and then 68 cents a minute after 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.; texting is only 5 cents for me and free for me to receive texts. When I checked us into Blue Water Marina I asked the woman about internet service and she said yes, they have it.  She didn’t give me the password so I had to walk back up and get it (which didn’t work.)  Then when I asked about water to rinse the boat down, she said yes it’s on the dock next to your boat.  But, I didn’t know I had to ask her to turn it on since there was a lock on it….so I never washed the boat down.  You have to be very specific when questioning things, just because they have it doesn’t mean you do, unless you ask them directly to give you the password for the internet, or unlock the water faucet, for examples!
