It is so beautiful....there are no words!

Bob is trying to get some video of a fish in the water with his GoPro
We get home to look at it....and he has video of himself...he pushed the
wrong button !!

This is the only area we saw the pink shells....
Bob is ready for no UV's today!
Me swimming before Bob had to come and rescue me from the

Another beautiful day in the Bahamas!

Today we did the mangrove loop.   So many people kept telling us how beautiful it was and how we had to do it.  So Bob and I jumped in the dinghy and took off to check it out.  While doing the mangroves I was a little disappointed.  Everyone kept saying how beautiful it was but I just wasn’t seeing it.  Yes, the mangroves were nice but not as nice as everyone was saying about it, until we got to the end of it….whoa! It was amazing!  Hopefully some of the pictures did it justice; the beauty around here is just so amazing.  I feel like I’m in one of those vacation magazines that we are always looking at and hoping one day just to get a glimpse of it….

I will say one thing, the current there was wicked!  I got caught up in it three times.  It wouldn’t be so bad but the current is so strong it keeps trying to push you into the limestone rocks!  Once it tried to take me out into the sea but I knew there was a sandbar there so I wasn’t worried about it.  Actually, I wasn’t worried about any of them.  The first time I was trying to swim against the current to get back to the other side where our dinghy was.  I knew I wasn’t going to be able to do it but it was great exercise! The other time I was right next to Bob and he just grabbed me to keep me from hitting the rocks, and the third time I was just playing in the sand and went too far towards the middle and it tried to take me again!  The current was only bad in one location….it was just fun to play in it!  Of course “Safety Bob” stayed away from it and never got caught up in it!

After spending most of the day out there we came back to the boat. We were playing around with the GoPro camera and got some pretty good video under water.  There’s not a lot of fish around here to see but if there were….the GoPro is the way to go!  Bob did snorkel under the boat to check on the anchor (we are supposed to be getting some high winds the next 3 to 4 days and he just wanted to make sure all was good) and while under there he came across a baby shark!  He has some real good video of that.  Hopefully I will be able to get it on the blog!

Jen and Moe I got your text.  We are in such a desolate area right now there is no cell or internet service.  I don’t think we will get any service until we get to Staniel Cay and that’s not happening until around the 27th of this month. Yikes!
