Ocean ride to Miami

When we got up this morning the boat next to us was really next to us!

We talked to Richard and Marcie last night just before bed and we decided we were going to go together over to the Bahamas but, but, but, but .....

But, the weather predictions in the Bahamas turned crappy this morning with rain for the next 5 days and the winds picking up to 30 knots by Saturday.  Although the wind today in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami/Gulf Stream was to be up to 10 knots it was suppose to rain and thunder most of the day all the way to Bimini.  It's just not that much fun riding in the rain with no sun in sight for the next 5 days.

So Bob made the decision at 0516 hours not to cross and it doesn't appear as though Richard is leaving either.  Bob had everything ready and had also started booting up the electronics.  We have jumped back and forth so much I'm not even going to talk about leaving anymore!  I'm just going to go and buy my tree and when we do leave I will post on FB as we are entering the Gulf Stream! Ha! (I will have a crossing notification on my blog also).

Check out this boat in a boat!
The side of the huge boat opens and the smaller
boat is slid in!
 The huge boat :-)
 Huge house...huge boat !!

There was a group of about 8 of these guys out here
playing and following us for a bit !
They kept slapping their tails on the water !
Blow holes and tails flapping made for a beautiful moment!
The one bridge we can't get under from Ft. Lauderdale

Getting ready to leave on a cruise !
Bob says "get a picture of the sea plane"
I didn't see it at first...didn't take long though since
it was right in front of us!
He literally landed and drove up the ramp here and turned around !

Well as usual, our day didn't go as planned.  We were going to stay in Ft. Lauderdale for a bit but decided to move on again.  We wanted to run our engines a bit to make sure there were no issues with them.  The starboard engine is running real nice, thank goodness!  That's one good thing about having two engines on your boat, so if one should stop working, you still have the other one.  But I really didn't want to leave the states without two working engines.  Now I know we won't!!

Bob and I felt we did most of Ft. Lauderdale, at least the area we were in the day of his birthday.  We both love Miami/South Beach, so here we are!
