It was pouring down rain and then all of a sudden it stops
and I see this beautiful rainbow!
(By the way, our wind genny took a dump! The bearings
seized up on it...shut it right down! Luckily we have our
solar panels and genny for extra power! But I will miss my
wind genny and will get it fixed as soon as we get back!)
The other side!
The middle of it!
My bloom is making her entrance!
Do you see the sign to the left of the boat in the water on land?
That is the "Sandy Toes" sign
Believe it or not, this is going to be our dinghy parking spot!
I'm having a hard time imagining this is my Captain allowing
this to be the parking spot for the dinghy!
Yikes! What are you!??!
Storymaker enjoying her moment as well!
Peacocks!!
Places to lay around !

Uh oh! Bob is now running! The dinghy managed to get under the rocky area!
Today
was a great day. The morning was a lot
of clouds and rain and then it started to clear off towards the late afternoon
hours. Bob and I went snorkeling today. There is a reef on the other side of the
rocks close to where we are anchored.
There was plenty to see although the water and sand was a little churned
up from all the rain and blow we’ve had the last couple of days.
I
was finally able to get internet. I
finished the blog for the last few days starting with the day we left Miami
until we got to Bimini. It’s great
having a blog, you can always go back and look at it and say “oh yeah, I forgot
we even did that!””
Mike
Tama, our friend from Boca Raton whom we shared Thanksgiving with, told us on
Facebook to be sure to check out Sandy Toes.
Except for a couple of houses we didn’t think anything was here. After going on the internet and googling
Sandy Toes we find out this is a resort and to spend a night is $800 a
night. We were convinced we had to go
and see it. It was quite the
journey. We had to walk through woods,
climb rocks, follow trails, but we finally got to it. You see, we are on the other side of the
island so that’s why we didn’t see it in the first place. So glad Mike told us about it! Thanks Mike!
As you can see from all the pictures we had a grand time. We did show up right as they were closing
though but we know it is there, it’s beautiful, they have peacocks, and make
strong drinks!
Afterwards
we came back to the boat, had dinner, talked about our next adventure, Allans
Cay…they have iguanas!
